A current snapshot of the stack behind my professional work. It changes as projects change.

Backend

  • C# and .NET

    Primary platform for APIs and business logic, including .NET 8.

  • ASP.NET Core Web API and MVC

    REST endpoints and server-rendered applications.

  • Entity Framework Core

    Default data access layer with migrations.

  • Dapper

    For hot paths and reporting queries where explicit SQL is clearer.

Frontend

  • React with TypeScript

    Component-based UIs with typed API contracts.

  • Angular

    Used on projects that standardised on it.

  • Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap

    Utility-first styling on new work; Bootstrap on existing systems.

Data

  • SQL Server

    Main relational database in professional work.

  • PostgreSQL

    Relational alternative on projects that call for it.

  • MongoDB

    Document storage where the data shape suits it.

Delivery and operations

  • Docker and Docker Compose

    Packaging applications and running them consistently.

  • Nginx and Nginx Proxy Manager

    Reverse proxy and TLS termination in front of containers.

  • Linux (Ubuntu)

    Server environment for deployments.

  • Git and GitHub

    Version control and collaboration.
